Worship and Praise: Services at St Mary's

The wide variety of worship at St Mary’s has grown through the years to comfortably encompass and respond to the varied worship styles people appreciate. Services are held both in the church and in the informality of the church meeting rooms from traditional acts of worship to those that are visually inspiring, refreshing and reflective.

  • Inclusive not exclusive
  • Responding to the needs of those who worship in the church
  • Traditional BCP worship through to less formal styles of worship which engages
  • A church service that is in tune with the needs of the 21st century, that is both visually inspiring, refreshing and reflective

More About Our Services

We believe in offering a wide range of worshiping opportunities for all people in our community, ranging from the formal and more traditional Book of Common Prayer services to a lively service of worship and praise at our popular ADventure.
St Mary's is much more than a 'place for Sunday', it also provides a spiritual home to those getting married, baptised and for those recently departed and bereaved.

Highlight: ADventure

This is an opportunity for children of all ages to come together in friendship on any Sunday, under the supervision of a dedicated and qualified team, committed to providing quality crafts and games and delivering an element of Christian teaching. It aims to encourage the development of a strong community, not just for children but for their family members and friends.
ADventure! is an exciting new part of St. Mary’s Church. It will be running EVERY SUNDAY between 10.00-11.30am, during term-time. It’s for parents and family members hopefully to be part of it too. It’s a FREE event, starting with Breakfast.Read More
