St Mary's: A Friendly & Accepting Community
17th April:
Today we gave thanks for and mourn the loss of
His Royal Highness, Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh.
Since the Duke of Edinburgh's death was announced, we have opened St Mary's Church daily between 11.00am and 12 noon for private prayer and for people to pay their respects.
We have rung the bell 99 times at 11.00am today, to mark our remembering of his long life. We are so grateful for Prince Philip's legacy to our local counties and communities and many others around the world.
We hold Her Majesty the Queen and the Royal Family in our prayers, asking that this may continue to help strengthen her and all others, who are grieving, at this time of sadness and loss.

Building on the 5.00pm Mon – Thurs Evening Prayer opportunity
to join with us via Zoom, we are now stepping up to welcome you to join
in live 10.00am Services on Zoom from Sunday 7th February 2021.
As in the month of January, one of us will produce a simple Service
in a Word document, which will be posted, as now, on all our
distribution outlets, including this Website.
You will be able to log in and follow the Service while muted.
The only people unmuted will be those allocated to take a part,
to limit any background online noise.
It would be great if we can connect in this way and see each other's faces! Anyone who does not have access to the internet, will be able to
dial in on the phone and listen in.
If connecting via Zoom or telephone is not possible, then
the Word document can continue to be a springboard for
worship at any other time.
